"World Suicide Prevention Day" has been observed on the 10th of September every year.

In 2006 the theme selected was "LIFE...you're worth it!"

In 2007 the theme selected was "Choose right... CHOOSE LIFE!"

This year 2008 the theme selected is "Love YOUR LIFE!"

An evening programme for awareness building in the area of Suicide Prevention is being held. The programme will be held from 6.00p.m. to 8p.m. at the East Cultural Association, Indiranagar, 100ft Road, Bangalore A candlelight vigil and an Awards presentation will be held to acknowledge vital work being done by persona and agencies in the area of Suicide Prevention
